ABBA Legend Björn Is Opening A ‘Mamma Mia!’ Themed Restaurant In London

Yep, that’s right. ABBA‘s Björn Ulvaeus is opening up a Mamma Mia! themed restaurant in London‘s O2 arena.

Per UK publication Evening Standardthis has always been a massive dream for Ulvaeus but several past attempts kept falling through… until now.

Mamma Mia! The Party, an immersive eating experience described as a ‘spin-off’ to the musical, will take over a chunk of The O2 in Greenwich, in 2019.

And because the world is being good, this isn’t some sort of exclusive event. 500 people a night will be magically transported to Nikos Taverna on Skopelos ~ the gorgeous island ~ where Mamma Mia! is filmed.

While you stuff your face with delicious Mediterranean food, singers will not only perform ABBA songs but also put on the whole new and original ‘spin-off’ story from the musical/movie.

THEN, after dinner the tables will be cleared away and the night will dive into a full blown ’70s disco.

In a statement released on Thursday Ulavaeus said:

“We believe bringing Mamma Mia! The Party to the O2 will add to this already vibrant cultural destination and provide the perfect location for our exciting new show.”

It’s happening, it’s really happening. Start saving now.

In the mean time, Mamma Mia! the musical is currently showing at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne so if you’re keen on that, click HERE. They’ll be in town until September 30.

OR, there’s Cher‘s ABBA cover album which is fast approaching. It’s called Dancing Queen and will bless the world come September 28.

Tracks include ‘Fernando’, ‘Waterloo’, ‘The Name of the Game’, and ‘The Winner Takes It All’.

Oh yeah, Cher will be in Australia from September 26 for a string of shows across Australia and New Zealand so September is honestly the best month of the year, in my honest opinion.

Imagine if she rocks up at the Melbourne musical, IMAGINE.

P.S Spot the absolutely startled Ulvaeus making a silent cameo in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
