Fresh off the news that ABBA‘s Björn Ulvaeus will be opening a Mamma Mia! theatre restaurant in London’s O2 Arena, Ulvaeus has now said he wouldn’t mind seeing one pop up in Melbourne. JFC, take a chance on me (and when I say me, I mean my glorious city of birth).

Ulvaeus sat down with The Graham Norton Podcast to promote his latest London venture, and subsequently dropped hints about some future dream destinations.
“The first stop I think will be Las Vegas and then after that probably New York or Hamburg,” he said. “Then there’s Melbourne, Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul.”
While I don’t appreciate us being fourth on the prospective list, and although it’s very pie in the sky at the moment, at least we got a mention?!
He’s also now put it out into the universe – and you know we believe in the power of manifestation – so I feel like the seed has been planted.
For the time being, stream this best-of ABBA playlist on Spotify and sing to your heart’s content. If you’re looking for me, I’ll be stuck in a “Dancing Queen” K-hole, miming in the bathroom mirror and drowning in my feels.
Actually, no, don’t look for me. I’m fucking busy.
