I bloody love it when celebs who have no business with each other get into a feud. I just find the randomness of it so beautiful, like, in what world would teen star Bella Thorne ever cross paths with Russian band Pussy Riot?

On the Twittersphere, that’s where.
The punk rock band, known for their political activism and protests, came for the 21-year-old former Disney star for selling coloured ski masks as merch which the band believe are a knock-off of their “colourful feminist ski masks.”
“Just saw recent Bella Thorne’s merch.. look EXACTLY like our colorful feminist ski masks. We hope it’s not merely an act of appropriation and bella indeed will join pussy riot and protest with us on the red square.”

Some punters were team Pussy Riot and blasted Thorne for knocking off the iconic girl band.

Not cool Bella, those have been worn by Pussy Riot activists for many year. I know what PR’s activism is and the meaning of those colorful ski masks, but what do YOU stand for Bella?

Others disagreed that Bella’s use of the ski masks are “appropriation” and reminded Pussy Riot that they did not invent the garment made popular by burglars.
Trademark infringement maybe; copyright violation possibly. Appropriation? pic.twitter.com/Yp9Wi8GB3B

It’s a ski mask… if Bella took it from you did you then appropriate it from bank robbers?

Bella eventually copped on to the drama surrounding her merch and responded to the band’s request for her to protest with them at Red Square, writing:
“FUCK THE RED SQUARE,” she responded.

Gal of many words, isn’t she?
