Bella Thorne Blasts “Awful” Asia Argento & Backs Out Of #MeToo Movement

Famous In Love star Bella Thorne has weighed in on the allegations against Asia Argento in a series of angry tweets.

The 20-year-old responded to Deadline’s story about Argento’s retaliation against Jimmy Bennett, writing:

“I’m disgusted. No longer want to be apart of the  movement. Jimmy was a young kid. This is gross.”

“If this is what the me too movement is going to be about now I’m not here for it.” Adding, “Victim shaming. Just awful.”

Thorne joined the #MeToo movement back in January when she opened up about being “sexually abused and physically growing up from the day I can remember till I was 14.”

“Over and over I waited for it to stop and finally it did,” Thorne said in the Instagram post. “But some of us aren’t as lucky to get out alive. Please today stand up for every soul Mistreated. #timesup.”

In a statement from Argento’s lawyer Mark Jay Heller earlier this week, the actress disputed the sexual assault claims from Bennett, claiming that he attacked her and that she is now launching “Phase Two” of the #MeToo movement.
