Abby Gilmore, former partner of Essendon player Jake Stringer, and mother of his two children, took to Instagram to celebrate the Logies of the AFL, the Brownlow Awards, with a cheeky li’l jab at herself and her ex.
She posted the following Instagram Story, and while it seems to mostly be an opportunity for the 25-year-old to have a lol at herself, people have noticed that the throwback shot pointedly crops out Stringer.
Yet none of her words directly reference her shitty ex:

We checked: there’s definitely a shot of Gilmore on her lonesome at the 2015 event, and while decked out like a human Oscars trophy, she’s owning it. So the crop… she didn’t have to do it. She chose to.

And fuck it, it’s a good dig from Gilmore, who was pregnant with her second child with Stringer when she found out he had been shagging a teenager for four months. The pair – who had been together since they were teens themselves – ended their engagement in 2016.
After the crop, Gilmore chats to camera in her next story about what she needs real bad in this moment, whether it’s because of the unpleasant reminder of her ex, or some other reason: “I’m literally at the point where I’m about got get in the car and go buy chocolate I need it that badly. This is not a drill.”
Ultimately, because she is all of us, Gilmore has a choccy-flavoured UP&GO instead – “It’s sorta the same right?” – because who can be arsed leaving the house, honestly.
