A journalist at the Daily Mail Australia must have reached the absolute end of their tether with the fame monsters that make up most of Australian television back in 2018, when they finished off a piece about former Bachelor In Paradise contestant Florence Alexandra‘s new cosmetic procedure by calling them all “vapid cunts”.
The final paragraph stayed up for more than two hours before the article was amended. The fun police editors instead opted to end the piece with the simple fact that Florence had unsuccessfully tried to win Matty J‘s heart before trying her luck again on the spin-off show, rather than allow the cathartic spray to remain on the site.
“But most people who were educated at a high-school level know these vapid cunts only go on the shows to find mediocre Instagram fame and make a living promoting teeth whiteners and unnecessary cosmetic procedures,” the article originally said.

Daily Mail Australia later apologised for the mishap that allowed that last line to be published, and promised that it’s looking into the error.
“Daily Mail Australia would like to apologise for inappropriate language that appeared on an article published by this site on Sunday morning,” a spokesperson told PEDESTRIAN.TV.
“The story about Bachelor in Paradise star Florence Alexandra contained offensive wording that should not have been included. As soon as we became aware of the mistake, the wording was removed.
“The Daily Mail Australia apologises for any offence taken by either our readers or contestants of the show.
“The Daily Mail Australia will properly investigate how the offending words were published.”
The poor journalist clearly snapped and forgot to delete a line written in frustration. Unfortunately, the writer was fired despite penning what may have been the best thing Daily Mail had ever published.
