Bit Wet In Sydney, Isn’t It?

Sydneysiders may have noticed that it was a tad bit wet last night, and that it is still – by the standards of any reasonable person of sound mind – still quite wet. How’s about it? So wet, in fact, that the city copped two months worth of rain in 24 hours.

The city’s north received the most thorough drenching, with Frenchs Forest getting 76mm, Forestville 74mm, Wahroonga 73mm and Belrose 70mm.

Speaking to the Daily TelegraphBureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Simon Louis said it was the wettest day at Observatory Hill in over a year. It’s days like this which make you remember that it… really doesn’t rain much these days, does it?

If you’re a Sydneysider who drives to work, well… yeah cheers for the attempt.

It’ll rain all throughout today, then we’re back to dry conditions throughout the week. Don’t forget your brollies!
