Cristiano Ronaldo is kicking goals at the moment. Quite literally.
He just won the Champions League for the fourth time in his career. He’s been announced as the FIFA18 cover star. He’s sporting a skinhead look at the moment and it looks the tits.
He’s winning in every facet of life, so it’s no surprise that advertisers and sporting brands and aching to cut themselves a slice o’ that spicy Ronaldo pie.
Nike have done just that with their latest ad, featuring a vintage pic of a smol Ronaldo staring straight down the barrel:
“Nobody believed a boy from Madeira would make it to the stars. Except the boy from Madeira,” reads the Instagram caption.
It’s a cute concept, apart from the fact that in the original photo, bebé is wearing Adidas. Yes, those three famous stripes. Nike’s biggest competitor.
Despite the crafty crop job by Nike, deft social media lurkers were quick to point this out to OG photo, putting the two side by side:
