Stars Turn Out To Say Emotional Goodbye At Chris Cornell’s LA Funeral

Friends and family have said an emotional goodbye to Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell at a funeral service held in Los Angeles on Friday, with stars of music and film showing up to pay their respects.
Cornell’s ashes were interred at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where a makeshift sign turned the ‘Garden Of Legends’ into the ‘Soundgarden Of Legends’, as fans gathered outside to pay tribute.
The singer’s wife Vicky, his children and his band-mates were in attendance, along with Courtney Love, Brad Pitt, Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale, Josh Brolin, and James Franco
James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich of Metallica were also present, joining the likes of Dave Grohl, Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams, Jerry Cantrell and Chester Bennington

Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine delivered a eulogy, as did Brolin and the members of Soundgarden, and a version of Leonard Cohen‘s ‘Hallelujah‘ was performed on acoustic guitar.
Cornell, who died in his Detroit hotel room on May 17, is interred alongside Johnny Ramone, at the cemetery that describes itself as “the resting place of Hollywood’s greatest stars.”
