All I can say is: good on this woman for giving it a red hot go.
Taking inspiration from the noble chameleon, a 33-year-old Perth woman attempted to evade capture by the police by seamlessly blending in as one of their own – specifically, by drawing the word “POLICE” and a band of blue and white checker pattern on the side of what appears to be a late 90s Hyundai Accent.
The woman was pulled over by cops outside Elizabeth Quay and was charged with traffic offences including driving without a license.
She was not, however, charged over the schmick paint job she’d given her whip – according to a police spokesperson that only would have become an issue if she’d attempted to recreate the police crest.
See the ‘fake cop car’ spotted driving around Perth. The driver locked herself in the car when confronted by police. Details in #9NewsAt6 pic.twitter.com/jmK2CZ7s8R
