The Perth Scorchers have just gone ahead and secured their third big Bash League League title, racking up 144 runs in 15.5 overs after a tight bowling onslaught limited the Sydney Sixers to 9-141.
On home soil, the Scorchers acted immediately – and relentlessly. Mitchell Johnson only relinquished a single from his opening over, before a pearler from Ashton Turner against Daniel Hughes was transformed into a standard catch, setting the tone for the Sixers’ battle.

Thanks to hits like that, Perth chased ’em down in 15.5 overs. Solid effort for the dominant West Aussie outfit, we reckon.
