There’s a really large amount of batshit insane people in the world. We watch the news; we know this. Some use their craziness for good, and some use it for evil.
Some people use it to convince themselves that swimming naked in Hobart’s Derwent River when it’s 1ºC outside, to celebrate the end of winter solstice at a Dark Mofo event, is a fantastic idea.
The Nude Solstice Swim is an iconic event in the Museum of Old and New Art‘s festival Dark Mofo, and people get pretty ~crazy~ about it.
The Guardian posted video and images of the event, showing us golden sunshine, flares, and heeeeeaps of cold naked people in a river:
