WATCH: Tim Burton’s New Film ‘Miss Peregrine’ Looks Unsettling As Hell

The trailer for Tim Burton‘s upcoming flick ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children‘ has dropped, and it looks unsettling as hell.

Adapted from Ransom Riggs‘ 2011 novel of the same name, the film seems to be part-fantasy, part-nightmare, and tells the story of Jacob Portman (Asa Butterfield) who follows the mysterious Emma (Ella Purnell) down into a sunken ship and into a time portal back to the 1940s (just watch it).

It is there that he happens upon the eponymous Miss Peregrine (Eva Green) and her orphanage for ‘peculiar’ children, which in this case refers to kids who are invisible, float, have mouths on the back of their head, or otherwise don’t quite fit in with the laws of physics that tend to dominate all other living things. Like magic! This is Harry Potter distorted through fun house mirrors, and is all the creepier for it.

The film – which also co-stars Judi Dench, Rupert Everett, and Samuel L. Jackson – hits cinemas September 2016, and we can’t freaking wait, tbqh with you.
