Trying times for Australia’s biggest mobile network, hey? Last month, Telstra offered a whole day of free data because of a a few hours of completely lost service a few days prior. Now it’s happened again. Last night, from about 6:30pm AEDT, the network was obliterated for many mobile customers, and dropped in and out throughout the evening.
We are aware of an issue affecting some of our mobile customers. We’re working to fix this as soon as possible. Sorry for inconvenience.

Last time the problem was “human error”, but Telstra haven’t said much about the cause this time – apart from the implication of an issue in the system that registers phones and data wasn’t functioning correctly.
