Singer, actress and all-round excellent human Zendaya has shut down some gross dude’s extremely unfunny rape joke on Twitter.
Twitter bro @ogxbenson (real name: unknown; ethics: unknown) tweeted out images of Zendaya, Beyoncé, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj with the question: “If the purge was real who y’all raping?”
It’s since been deleted, but here’s a screenshot:
Zendaya got wind of the tweet, and responded with a few of her own:
This is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. Is this really what my generation thinks is ok? https://t.co/brqVohkX9E

People are sick…

The dude – who we’re just gonna go ahead and call ‘Ben‘, based on his frequently changing Twitter names – then got reeaaal fkn excited that a celeb saw his tweet.
Again, it’s since been deleted, but again, Zendaya replied:
@ogxbenson the only thing that’s lit is your immorality and inhumanity young man. I pray you find some sense.

This is clearly muddling you up, Ben, mate, so let us break it down for you: no, rape jokes aren’t ‘okay’ about anyone, but given American women (and we’re just assuming you’re from America here) literally have a one in four chance of being sexually assaulted in their lifetime, it’s not totally unexpected that rape jokes about women would rustle more jimmies than those about men.
