‘Batman V Superman’ Really Copped It At This Year’s Razzie Awards

The Golden Raspberry Awards are traditionally held right before the Academy Awards, to shower dubious glory on the worst of the worst films, and act as an antidote to the usual awards season back-patting.

While this year’s nominations covered a diverse array of crap, the Razzies were dominated by two films – the widely-criticised superhero mash-up Batman v Superman, and the conservative polemic Hillary’s America. 

The latter picked up Worst Picture, Worst Actor, Worst Actress and Worst Director, and its creator Dinesh D’Souza gave an acceptance speech via video, saying:

Jesse Eisenberg picked up a Worst Supporting Actor for his over-the-top Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman, which also scored a Worst Screen Combo award for Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. 

The only other film to win in a major category was the misbegotten Zoolander 2, for which the usually reliable Kristen Wiig got a nod for Worst Supporting Actress. You can check out the full list of ‘winners’ below:
