A man has reportedly died in a workplace accident on site at Barangaroo in Sydney CBD.

It is believed paramedics were called to a barge on the water near Lime Street around 4:40pm after a steel structure fell on the man, but he passed away at the scene.

2GB is reporting that the man was in his thirties.
