If you’re not obsessively devoted to the Internet, you may not be aware that on Wednesday Girls creator Lena Dunham‘s dog Lamby bit her on the butt. The bite was hard enough to draw blood, and since this is Lena Dunham we’re talking about, she posted a picture of it in her underwear on Instagram. Evidence A:
If you’re unaware of that, you’re probably also unaware that this is OUTRAGEOUS on the Internet, for… reasons. Some good reasons! An untrained rescue dog in a big city is a risk, although probably not a risk necessitating a Gawker headline screaming “Take Away Lena Dunham’s Spoiled, Vicious Dog Before It Attacks Again“, unless you really want to be a dick about it.
Now, naturally, Dunham’s responded to the criticism on Twitter:

Fair enough. It’s clear she doesn’t take the biting particularly seriously, which is not a super responsible way for a dog owner to be. On the other hand: very solid point about people maybe giving their attention to something a little more important.
