We know it’s happening. We can’t escape it now. Space Jam 2 with LeBron James is very much part of our reality.
We learned yesterday via a casual slip-up from LeBron himself that the sequel to the 1996 Looney Tunes-and-hoops flick will begin shooting this coming American summer, during the NBA off-season when James and his associated balling cohorts have a little more free time on the calendar.

Today, the hits just keep on coming, thanks to the announcement that the film has an official, honest-to-god, no fooling release date.
Ready for it?
Truly ready?
Prepare yourselves.
Because it’s coming in 2021.

July 16, 2021 to be exact.
That’s 875 days from now. 2 years, 4 months, and 24 days.
That’s all the information we have to share right now, so let’s go to social media to check the reactions:

Space Jam 2? I’ll stick with the original, thank you. A sequel starring a phony goat cannot be as good.

LeBron releasing the Space Jam 2 date right before he begins heroically carrying the Lakers to the playoffs is next-level marketing.

REPORT: During Space Jam 2, LeBron will place both Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny on the trade block in an attempt to land Anthony Davis for the Tune Squad
