LeBron James Revealed The Official Title For ‘Space Jam 2’ & It Really Is Time To Slam Now

Despite most Hollywood productions hitting the big fat pause button due to the coronavirus pandemic, some are still chugging along slowly towards their scheduled release dates. And to that end, the long awaited Space Jam sequel now has an official name and a new logo thanks to old mate LeBron James.

James revealed that the sequel to the stone cold 1996 Michael Jordan classic will be titled Space Jam: A New Legacy; a reveal that was made on Instagram earlier this morning via, of all things, a hat.

Following that, the official logo for the film was put up on freshly created Space Jam social media accounts, putting a somewhat updated spin on the classic OG logo.

Like its iconic predecessor, Space Jam: A New Legacy will see the Looney Tunes of yore interact with a laundry list of current NBA talent, including James as well as Klay ThompsonAnthony DavisDamian LillardChris PaulKyle Kuzma, and WNBA stars Diana TaurasiNneka Ogwumike, and Chiney Ogwumike.

Don Cheadle and Sonequa Martin-Green are also confirmed to be among the film’s human cast.

Not much is known about plot details at this stage, however the film is still tracking towards its previously planned July 16, 2021 release date.
