Everyone Stop What You Are Doing Right Now, ‘Space Jam 2’ Is Happening With LeBron James

After two long years of speculation our inner child has finally been answered, with LeBron James set to star in Space Jam 2.

No one can replace Michael Jordan. Though if anyone were to attempt it, that person would have to be LeBron James. At risk of having to wait ten years for another star to dominate professional basketball (and thus the Space Jam sequel we always wanted), it’s best that we welcome LeBron to the role. Acknowledge the fact that we’re not watching it for his acting chops. Rather, we’re watching it for a chance to see Bugs Bunny dunk on some monster and Bill Murray not play defence.

There is no timeline on the film. All we know is that it is in development, with Willie Ebersol writing the screenplay. Presumably it will follow a similar structure as the original and have the Looney Tunes involved in some basketball related mishap that requires the aid of LeBron. Or, alternatively, the entire roster of the Miami Heat could come down with food poisoning before the big game and be entirely replaced by Looney Tunes characters.

Both sound equally awesome. Let’s hope Bill Murray reprises his role as Bill Murray.
