There’s A ‘Game Of Thrones’ Pop-Up Restaurant Opening In London

Food always looks better on TV. Always has, and always will. Even the most mundane dishes wind up looking like mouth-watering deliciousness thanks to the magic of the small screen (and also because it’s not really properly served it’s just been done up by set dressers to look as good as possible for the shot because no one wants to see their favourite characters wolf down grey, sloppy mashed potato).

But what if maybe, just maybe, you could actually get well involved with some of the unique and wonderful-looking dishes from your much beloved TV shows? If you’re in London, or are about to travel there, you might be in line to take a quick detour via Westeros.
US cable giant HBO has revealed they’re teaming up with UK-based gastronomic experts The Wandering Chef and Grosvenor Mixologists to put together a limited time only Game of Thrones-themed pop-up restaurant.

The name? Wait for it…

ALL MEN MUST DINE.

Brilliant, right?

In observance of the release of the show’s fourth season to home media, three banquets will be thrown over the Valentine’s Day weekend, from February 13th till the 15th. People lucky enough to score a seat will sample the finest delicacies Westeros has to offer over multiple courses, accompanied by a carefully selected drinks menu of cocktails fit for a King.
Dishes available on the menu are being kept tightly under wraps, though one has been revealed as “The Lies of Tyrion Lannister and his Proclaimed Innocence,” which apparently features poached veal tongue with beetroot, horseradish, and Oldtown mustard.
You can throw your name in the hat for a spot at the King’s table by entering the competition.
All pies and wine are guaranteed to be served poison-free. Unless you’re the inbred bastard false King of the Seven Kingdoms. In which case all bets are off, really.
