PEDESTRIAN.TV has partnered with Rimmel London to help y'all take a breather in your city (and look fly while you're at it). Their new 25HR Lasting Finish Breathable foundation and concealer means you'll spend less time worrying about touch-ups and more time living life 'cos it feels like you're wearing nothin' at all. Check it HERE.
Look, they don’t call Queensland ‘The Sunshine State’ for nothin’. Being up north and all, it tends to deliver a lot more UV rays than it’s lower East Coast counterparts, and for that reason locals + visitors should always be soaking up the great outdoors. We’re not talking about some solid Ernie Dingo viewing, either. Keep reading to see the best walking tracks in + around sunny Brisbane.
GREENES FALLS, MT GLORIOUS
About an hour’s drive out of Brisbane CBD you’ll find this little slice of greenery heaven. It’s 4.3km (with shorter routes available) of lush rainforests is where it’s at and for anyone who loves a good waterfall, hello. You’ll love it here.
Located 15kms outside of Brisbane’s CDB, the natural beauty lies on the edge of Moreton Bay between Nudgee Beach, Boondall and Shorncliffe. What can you look forward to? Oh, just 1500 hectares of open forest, melaleuca wetlands, tidal flats, mangroves, saltmarshes, grasslands and Instagram opportunities, of course.
ENNOGERA RESERVOIR LOOP
Catch a glimpse of a goanna or 10 on the Ennogera Reservoir loop, around the highly popular dam. It’s about 8km north-west of Brisbane city, so not too far out at all.
NORTH GORGE WALK
Ok, so it’s kind of a trek from Brissy’s city centre but isn’t everyone always telling you to get out more? No? Just me? Anyway, this walk is well worth the hike over to Stradbroke Island, with white-sandy beaches, clear-as-all-heaven waters and buttloads of birds and wildlife.
CITY LOOP VIA SOUTH BANK
Are city skylines more your vibe? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Get a slap of nature with the iconic Brisbane River while also staying true to the city slicker you know you are. There are plenty of routes you can do to incorporate the river into your walk, trust me.
Because you’ll no doubt wanna do a few other things while you’re out on the town, Lily Brown, vlogger and Brissy local, has a few hotspot recommendations in the video below – all while roadtesting Rimmel London‘s new 25HR Lasting Finish Breathable foundation and concealer.
Not all makeup can endure so much activity, am I right? Thank the makeup overlords that this one isn’t heavy and feels like you’re wearing ~nothing at all~.
On top of that, no trip to Brisvegas is complete without a quick (or very, very long) stop-off at Fortitude Valley. It’s where memories are made.
