The Adorably Cute ‘Yoshi’s Crafted World’ Finally Cops A Release Date

Announced all the way back in June of 2017, the adorably cute Yoshi’s Crafted World has finally been given a release date by Nintendo.

In a Twitter post, the company said the platformer will launch for the Nintendo Switch on March 29. It even has a cute little video attached which you can watch below.

The upcoming title allows players to change the perspective of each level, in some cases going behind the cardboard structures to reveal what’s behind them. Nintendo also released a story trailer which you can see below.

There’s nothing groundbreaking here – bad guys try to steal Yoshi’s shit, it gets scattered all over the place and you gotta help him get it all back – but it looks fun as hell. It feels a lot like Yoshi’s Story on the Nintendo 64 to me, which certainly isn’t a bad thing.

You can definitely expect some interesting gameplay mechanics this time around, too. If you’re keen to see it in action, there’s almost half an hour’s worth of gameplay footage you can watch below.

Hopefully, it lives up to the best Yoshi game of all time, Yoshi’s Island, which was released on the Super Nintendo. It’s looking promising, and given Nintendo’s recent track record with first-party games, I’d say we’re in for a winner.
