Feel like you’ve been waiting for the NBN for a a million years with no word on when your house will be connected? Same.
Thanks to the updated searchable rollout map, that’s no longer the case… Kinda.
You can search your address in the handy little map and it’ll tell you what stage they’re up to in your area – planning, building or available. It’s still pretty bare, but it’s something.
If you’re lucky, you’ll even get an estimate as to when you’ll be connected, but if you’re like me, you’ll get “we expect to have more information about availability in your area soon”. How helpful.
Hybrid Fibre Co-Axial areas are due to be added at some point next year, so if you fall into one of these, you won’t get much of a response until then.
You still can’t see what kind of service you’ll be getting, so it could be anything from FTTN, FTTP or any number of weird Frankenstein connections that use multiple technologies.
Just give us some fast internet already, ya jerks.
