Snapchat & The WHO Have Released A COVID-19 Filter That Teaches You How To Not Be A Grub

In partnership with the World Health Organisation, Snapchat has released a new global filter to educate users amid the coronavirus pandemic.

This filter is part of Snap’s latest bid to limit the spread of misinformation, promote safe and responsible hygiene practices, and keep users up-to-date with the latest pieces of advice.

The filter itself, as seen below, comes with a few little tidbits of advice, such as practicing social distancing and remembering not to touch your face (easier said than done, I know). Additionally, the person who receives the Snapchat can swipe up, and will be taken to a World Health Organisation link that contains a whole heap of info about coronavirus.

“We’re working closely with the World Health Organization to ensure Snapchatters have all the latest information from the experts themselves,” a Snap spokesperson commented. “WHO publishes regular updates from their Official Account and we’ve worked with their team to develop custom content to answer questions from the Snapchat community.”

Aside from the filter, Snap’s also introduced a whole bunch of Bitmojis to keep us health-conscious during our self-isolation.

Speaking of hygiene, if you’re looking to master the art of hand-washing, this site pairs your favourite bops with hand-washing know-how.

While we’re all cooped up in our pads, here are some tips to help not lose your marbles completely.

To those being hygienic, and responsibly keeping socialisation to the screens: you’re doing amazing, sweetie.
