It’s the year 2017 and McDonald’s have decide they don’t fuck with paper anymore. If you want a job at the famous fast food chain, you better fire up your Snapchat.
In an utterly bizarre world-first, the company are today launching what they call, Snaplications – an actual filter that allows applicants to apply via a 10-second video.
Once reviewed, McDonald’s will send the applicant a link to their digital careers hub which contains an actual application form.
“As a business, McDonald’s is constantly evolving its approach to digital technology, for both the customer and employees,” said Shaun Ruming, COO of McDonald’s Australia.
Sure, but the kid still has to go through the normal application process, they’ve just added another step, as entertaining as it is.
And best of luck to the person who gets to screen these. Presumably, it’ll mostly be stoners trying to order McNuggets via Snap.
