Aussie McDonald’s Playgrounds To Be Renovated Into Two Storey Beasts

You may have noticed that in recent times McDonald’s playgrounds are looking particularly old and busted – they’ve lost that certain je ne sais quoi…

Whilst this impression could be formed by the bitterness we ‘adults‘ feel at no longer being ‘allowed’ to ‘legally’enter’ the ‘McDonald’s Playland®‘, it also also a truth McUniversally acknowledged that they were passed over in the nationwide refurbishments that happened eight years ago.

Maccas is now finally coming through with two storey extravaganzas that will cost twice as much and be rolled out at over 80 flagship stores by the end of the year.

McDonald’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mark Lollback, said of the refurb: “McDonald’s became famous for its playlands 30 or 40 years ago. I think as McDonald’s has grown up there were times we focused more on premium and the like. When we last refurbished we still put them in but didn’t make them a feature — we modernised at the expense of big, big playlands. Nowadays pubs have playlands, council parks have them, I think McDonald’s has a responsibility to deliver playlands like no one else.”

Based on this new and exciting information you may feel the urge to have a go in the playground next time you’re at Maccas, so just remember: They’re built for kids. What do kids even know, though? They don’t vote and they certainly don’t know your life.

They can’t stop you from fulfilling your McDreams®.
