Each of the games in the collection has been specifically modified for PC and as such, will contain all of the features expected in modern PC titles.

“We are laying the groundwork for PC native features such as excellent mouse and keyboard controls, support for multiple resolutions and aspect ratios, field-of-view sliders, and adjustable framerates, to name but a few. And yes, there will be support for Xbox gamepads and other PC controllers,” 343 Industries wrote in its announcement.

The Master Chief Collection will now also include Halo: Reach, amongst Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Reach will be the first to be made available, followed by each of the titles in chronological order.

The Master Chief Collection has been available via Xbox Game Pass for a little while now, but it’ll also get Reach when it’s added to the bundle. There’s no hard release date for when it’s set to hit PC, but it’ll certainly be during this year.

Given developer, 343 Industries, is hard at work on the next series title, Halo: Infinite, it outsourced the ports to two different studios, Ruffian Games and Splash Damage.

If you’re yet to experience the Halo franchise, this is the perfect way to get on board before Infinite drops, which, from the little we’ve seen so far, is poised to look incredible.
