‘Forza Horizon 3’ Will Let You Fang Round ‘Straya In Classic Holden Utes

It’s the bloody Australian dream, I tell you. Buying yourself a good honest ute, chucking some shit into the back of it, and belting off down the round to explore this mighty sunburnt land.

While most of us probably won’t get to experience that kind of footloose Kerouac-ass behaviour for real, there will soon be a way to put the foot down from the comfort of your own home.
The stupidly expansive upcoming racing game ‘Forza Horizon 3‘ continues to drip feed its massive list of cars that’ll be featured in the final product. We already know that the game is set in Australia (or, at least, in some sort of squashed version of it) but now we know you’ll be able to zoom down the road in a handful of classic Holden Utes.
Three versions of the iconic ‘Strayan vehicle are being included in the game, covering three different and distinct eras in local car manufacturing history.
There’s the iconic 1951 FX ute, in all its built-like-a-brick-shithouse glory:
The 1974 HQ Sandman panel van aka the Shaggin’ Wagon:
And the more modern 2016 GTS Maloo:
Now if the game will let you pull over to the side of the road and sleep the night on that mattress you chucked in the back of the Sandman, we’ll really be in business.
Forza Horizon 3‘ hits shelves on September 27th for both Xbox One and Windows.
