Are you sick of dating sims forcing you to do all the heavy lifting? So many dialogue choices, so little time, right? Enter BadCupid, a new game which simply asks you to bet on the chances of love between two incredibly horny AIs. Now we’re talking.

There are plenty of weird and wonderful dating sims out there in the gaming world, and while the subject matter might be, uh, unorthodox, they tend to follow a pretty similar formula. There’s even a game called Hatoful Boyfriend, in which you date birds. I told you it was weird.
Anyway, BadCupid is different in that you don’t really have to do anything but bet an in-game currency called arrows on whether the couple will fall in love or not. Each round starts with the audience deciding where the next date will be held and then shows the pair you’ll be betting on. For example, the picture above features the goddess Venus and a ghost or monster named Gary.
After you place your bets on how bad Gary’s going to fuck this up, the pair then spouts awkward phrases at each other based on a simple algorithm. If they get along, their love metres will grow and should they both peak, love wins. It’s as simple as that, folks.

Players will be able to create their own weird characters and submit them to the game’s creator, Kitfox, which will then add it to the rotation should they deem it good enough. I guess seeing your horrible child find love is a decent incentive to keep playing.
