WATCH: Lin-Manuel Miranda Casts A Spell With A ‘Harry Potter’ Freestyle Rap

That Lin-Manuel Miranda is one talented-as-hell sonofagun.

His starring run on the astonishingly successful Broadway musical ‘Hamilton‘ (the multi-Tony Award winning historial hip hop production that he penned his dang self) might have come to an end, but don’t think for a second that his lyrical abilities were all contained in his glorious colonial pony tail.
Miranda, appearing on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,’ got to flex his improv prowess against the best in the biz, taking on The Roots‘ resident MC Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter in a return bout of ‘Wheel of Freestyle.’
Though Tariq got arguably the rhyme of the night in (“said I’m not live like Saturday night/and I be reading y’all your Lin-Manuel Miranda rights/I’m number one when it come to that/set ’em up, chop ’em down like a lumberjack“) it’s Miranda who brought out his Ollivander’s special to fire off a few lines that even a wizard would find magical.

God… god damn, he’s good.
Although that said, without the Alexander Hamilton ponytail he *absolutely* looks like a year 8 kid on school photo day.
