Twitter Is Steaming Trump’s BS Swedish Terrorism Claim Like A Goddamn Sauna

Reactions to U.S. President Donald Trump‘s assertion there’d been a terrorist incident in Sweden overnight were swift, but quickly devolved from severe concern and confusion to outright bloody derision.

Why? Well, the Commander in Chief was revealed to have based that incomplete fact on an excerpt of a FOX News broadcast, which actually had zero direct link to any acts of terrorism. Legitimately.

After the Prez realised his utterly baseless claim was ripped from a misinterpreted cable news piece, he had the audacity to hurl out this explanation:

That wasn’t enough to stem the onslaught of online ownage, though. Pretty quickly after the fact, the actual embassy came out with this lil’ piece of diplomatic shade:

Residents of the internet were somewhat more overt with their disdain for the bloke, attacking his nonsense from all angles – its straight anti-factual nature, the idea that he places more trust in telly news than his own internal briefings, and the sheer peacefulness of life in Sweden on that particular night:

In truth, you need to find some kind of humour in these only semi-concerning goofs, ’cause it’s just matter of time before he says something equally dumb that creates an actual diplomatic crisis.
