Say Goodbye To Camping Overnight For Yeezys With This Kicks Reservation App

To people who don’t collect sneakers, the idea of camping out overnight outside a store to get your grubby mittens on a pair seems a little extreme.
While it might be hard for your average, Converse-wearing normie to understand, sneaker collection is a real hobby. Spending hours (or in drastic cases, days) waiting to spend your money is part of the appeal. Getting a numb arse from sitting on pavement is exclusivity. Pissing in a bottle because you can’t leave your place in the line? Doesn’t get more exclusive than that.
Footlocker knows that this lifestyle isn’t for everyone, so they’ve released an ‘Strayan-first app which allows sneaker enthusiasts to reserve the country’s most exclusive product straight from their phones.
The Locker‘ is a free app which punters can use the night before a limited sneaker release to reserve a pair for themselves. You can select three size and store preferences, then once the launch opens, it’s a race to submit your registration. Product is allocated on a first in, first served basis. Once you’ve secured your product fairly, you can head into store on the release day to pick up your new wheels.
The company has successfully used this technology in the US over the past 12 months, which follows the success of reservation app Adidas Confirmed. The Down Under version will host key releases where demand far outweighs supply (here’s hoping that includes Yeezys).
The app also features a nifty calendar chronicling upcoming release dates, so the chances of missing out on a pair of Nike LeBron XXIII Elites is slim.
