Pls Enjoy This Emotional Support Duck Helping His Human Through A Flight

Excuse us, but whatever kind of shitty / excellent day you’re having is about to be made better by Daniel the Emotional Support Duck.

A US bloke by the name of Mark Essig met Daniel on his flight from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Asheville, North Carolina, and live-tweeted the whole thing.

“His gentle quacking eases the sadness of leaving,” wrote Essig, which is genuinely making my heart feel like it’s gonna burst out of my ribs and splatter all over this story.

Thought that was as cute as it gets? WRONG. Here’s a video of Daniel WAGGING HIS TAIL IN HAPPINESS. Or is he waggling his butt? Either way, he’s shaking the lower half of his body b/c he’s helping his human.

Also in case your heart hasn’t *literally exploded* yet, Daniel wears little red duck shoes to protect his little duck feet.

And here is Daniel enjoying the view, satisfied with another day’s work helping his human along.

Once Essig’s tweets started to go viral, Twitter user @emma_d tweeted this photo of Daniel boarding her dad’s flight earlier.

Emotional support animals are becoming more and more commonplace, which is great in Australia where you can’t even bring dogs onto the train or into your rental house.

Obviously, dogs are the most common type of support animal, but cats and pigs also sometimes come to lend their furry / snouty support, and there have even been instances of a support miniature horse and a support guinea pig.
:’)

UPDATE:
The duck’s human has gotten in contact with Essig, and sent him a bunch of videos of Daniel doing super cute things.

Like eating macaroni and cheese:

Or playing with his toys:
