PAY ATTENTION MEOW: ‘Super Troopers 2’ Has Officially Begun Filming

YOU BOYS LIKE MEXICO?

After one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns of all time (and the most successful feature film crowdfunding campaign ever), the team from Broken Lizard have officially begun rolling cameras on the hotly anticipated ‘Super Troopers 2.’
The comedy troupe and production unit confirmed that principle photography on the project has officially commenced in a Facebook post marking the moment cameras began rolling on new scenes.

The film is, quite obviously, the direct sequel to the 2001 cult hit, and again features the entire team of Jay Chandresekhar, Eric Stolhanske, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, and Paul Soter.
The project raised a staggering US$4.4million for the project through an Indiegogo campaign, after meeting their initial target of $2million inside 26 hours.
Fox Searchlight Films has picked the film up for distribution, meaning it will see at least a limited run in cinemas globally.
And just in case you don’t think they’re all 100% committed to the bit, have a bloody geeze at Chandresekhar’s astonishing facial hair.

That’s some Danny Day Lewis-level method acting, right there. Living the character.
