In rapturous news for sneaker heads, Back To The Future fans and lazy people, Nike has confirmed that a functioning replica of the fabled self-lacing “Power Laces” as worn by Marty McFly in Back To The Future II will be available for purchase in 2015. A fitting release date, of course, since it’s the same year McFly traveled to when he first encountered the Best Thing About The Future Besides Hoverboards.
Nike release a replica of the most coveted fictional sneaker in pop culture history back in 2011, with proceeds raised going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease research.
