Now that Spring’s fly-kicked Winter in his or her perpetually smug ice face, it’s time to entertain eyewear options that will block out the sun without breaking the bank. Enter Isson Eyewear. We were pretty enamored with the new classic shapes and stuffy style names of their previous collection “State Of Mind” but their current SS 10/11 range, Moonstruck Menagerie, is just as lovely. More even.
Lykke Li, Devendra Banhart, Muse, Dion Lee and Baz Luhrmann apparently agree. So does Romance Was Born who featured Isson’s “Betsy” frame in their Renaissance Dinosaur collection at Australian Fashion week earlier this year (see below). It’s actually our favourite style as well. But since old Betsy’s a handmade one-off with black acetate frames and mirrored lenses, we’re betting she’ll fall into the hands of another instead. Sigh.
