Native Fauna Sculpted From Louis Vuitton Products!

This week Australia will receive a blessing from the gods of Luxury Brand Portfolios by way of a brand new, sumptuous Louis Vuitton flagship store (or ‘Maison’ en Francais).

The multi-level leather goods cathedral is located on George Street in Sydney, and officially opens this Friday, 2 December, by no less than Cate Blanchett – Australian icon of all things tasteful and fabulous-beyond-words. She will be joined by some other equally prolific Australian icons: the kangaroo, koala and crocodile.

London-based sculpture artist Billie Achilleos has interpreted some of our most famous species of native fauna using only Louis Vuitton products – which seems appropriate considering kangaroo and crocodile hides are used for crafting leather goods. Such is the circle of life.
