Miranda Kerr Steps Down As The Face of DJs, Jessica Gomes Steps Up

The radiant human essence of Gunnedah til I die supermodel and basically the only person in the country who could say this with a straight face – I’m not a businesswoman. I’m a business, woman. – Miranda Kerr has just stepped down from her lucrative role as the face of David Jones.

No official statement has been released from the department store yet but CEO Paul Zahra had this to say: “We will forever consider Miranda part of the David Jones family. We
have loved being on this journey with Miranda and feel privileged to not
only have been a part of it but to watch Miranda’s remarkable success
and growth. We wish Miranda every success for what will undoubtedly be a very
successful future and would like to thank her wholeheartedly for her
wonderful contribution to our brand.”

Kerr, whose worth-every-penny million dollar per annum contract was due to expire next year, will be replaced by Sports Illustrated favourite and person who once jumped out of a plane for us, Jessica Gomes.

Considering Kerr’s penetrative international name recognition and indisputable position as the most bankable face in the country it’s hard to understand the store’s failure to renew her contract, though, if we were to hazard a guess, the house of houndstooth’s 13.5% fall in fiscal first-half profits may have something to do with it.

She will be missed, mainly by their shareholders.
