Miranda Kerr on the Cover of i-D

The Summer 2010 issue of i-D Magazine features three different covers with three different models shot by three different photographers; Gisele Bundchen by Matt Jones, Jeneil Williams by Daniel Jackson and Miranda Kerr by Willy Vanderperre.

Of course, due to Nationalistic bias and her intriguing turn toward edgier image making, we’ll focus on the latter who seems to be following in the angelic footsteps of her Victoria’s Secret sisters Adriana Lima and Gisele Bundchen. Last year, as you may recall, Kerr walked in Balenciaga’s SS2010 show (an experience she described as “a total unexpected surprise”) she then donned a diaphanous mask for a V Mag spread lensed by Willy Vanderperre (the man responsible for the i-D cover below) and most recently she was cast in Prada’s Fall 2010 campaign.

All this while spruiking commercial giants like David Jones and Victoria’s Secret, launching signature organic skincare lines and killing the productivity of our nation’s bankers. So yeah, if there’s one model blurring that distinction between commercial and high fashion looks/work, it is she. Not bad for a former Dolly Model comp winner and Portmans ambassador. Gosh, remember that?
