Martyn Bal graduated from the Royal College of Art in London with an MA in Menswear Design then went on to assist Hedi Slimane at Dior Homme, design collections for Versace, and direct the men’s studio for Burberry Prorsum.
The Fall 09 range for his eponymous line fuses the sharp tailoring of Dior Homme with the Autumnal ease of Burberry to create a versatile collection of classic autumn/winter attire (trench coats, suit jackets, leather jackets) with a modern slant. From structural form fitting trench coats to pleated high waisted trousers the marriage between the old and the new has never looked this good. Now if I could only find an Australian stockist…
