Lupita Nyong’o’s Flawless Pearl Oscars Gown Stolen From Hotel Room

Physical embodiment of ***flawless***, the slice of pure heaven that is Lupita Nyongo’o has been fouled overnight by chic as sin bastards, as her breathtaking Oscars gown has been reported as stolen from her LA hotel room. Show some goddamn respect.

For those who missed it, or were rendered legally blind after the endless stream of tears that Graham Moore‘s inspiring speech provoked, meaning you couldn’t physically bare focusing on another piece of effervescent celebrity, this is what Lupita looked like on the night. Red carpet game never not disturbingly tight:

Ugh. Angry about her life choices not being mine, tbh.

Anyway. That gown there, a custom Calvin Klein Collection piece by Francisco Costa consisting of six thousand hand-stitched white Akoya pearls, is no longer with its rightful Queen, as LA police have confirmed the dress was stolen from the London Hotel in LA where Nyong’o was staying for the Oscars – it was allegedly stolen between 8 am and 9 pm the following day.

According to SMH, the pearls alone were worth an impressive $150,000, and no suspects of the theft have been identified. SMDH.

Lupita Nyong’o collaborated on the dress, saying on the red carpet, “We talked about it being fluid and liquid, I wanted it to be an homage to the sea.” Stop it, you perfect, beautiful tropical fish. Fashionable thieves are on the loose, LA. :'(
