It’s On: Kevin Rudd And Tony Abbott Agree To Leaders Debate This Sunday

Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbott have finally agreed on a date for a nationally televised shade-throwing session. The Labor Party has agreed to the Liberal Party’s push for a Leaders Debate to be held at the National Press Club in Canberra this Sunday, starting at 6:30pm (AEST).

This will be the first leaders debate in the lead up to the September 7th election and is predicted to fare heavily in smug passive-aggressive grins, the creepy disingenuous youth-speak that Kevin Rudd’s been affecting under the advisement of his newly recruited tech-savvy Gen Y whisperers, and Tony deferring to his go-to finger pointy attack manoeuvre about how Kevin dropped the ball once already, remember? and also “Stop the boats”.

We keenly await the outcome of the debate (by which I mean animated GIFs with lightsabers Photoshopped in for LOLs).
