At 28 years of age Gisele Bundchen has acted in films, walked the runways of major fashion weeks, appeared on numerous magazine covers, dated Leonrad Dicaprio then married an all star Quarterback, and is worth an estimated $150 million. In short if any model deserves a retrospective, it’s this leggy Brazilian.
The relentlessly hardworking model appears in the May issue of Vanity Fair in editorial shot by Mario Testino appropriately titled “… And God Created Gisele”. In the adjoining feature article Bundchen also sheds some light on her marriage to Tom Brady and her relationship with his child with surprising candor: “We’ve been together over two years; we’ve been living together. My idea of that is you have a partner who’s got your back. When I’m weak, you can be strong; when I’m strong, you can be weak. That’s what I believe marriage is. Loving someone, you want to grow with them, share with them, share the same values, the same feelings about things, the same beliefs.’
It’s refreshing that the notoriously anti-fashion Bundchen is genuinely down to Earth despite her success. Vanity Fair also looks back through their archives and features Gisele’s past shoots online including work by Patrick Demarchelier.
