Felix Baumgartner’s Space Jump Gets Even More Terrifying With New POV Footage

Mission To The Edge Of Space: The Full Story Behind Red Bull Stratos is released via Rdio today, marking one year since Austrian maniac Felix Baumgartner made history by casually causing a sonic boom when the speed of his freefall from the edge of space broke the sound barrier.

Red Bull are also celebrating the one-year anniversary of Baumgartner miraculously still being alive by releasing this footage, a collage of POV and variant camera angles, as well as real-time mission data collected during the jump. It’s terrifyingly reminiscent of that one scene in Gravity (if you’ve seen it, you’ll know what I’m talking about, if you haven’t, what’s wrong with you?), only it’s real. So very, very, pants-wettingly real.
