Today in a YOLO-inspired New Year’s resolution, American humorist-comedian-author and radio contributor David Sedaris has published his first ever Facebook post. Cue Applause. While we do consider holidays to Poland and experimenting with turtlenecks valid New Year pursuits, fans are clearly delighted that Sedaris has finally gotten with the whole social aspect of social media, with over 16,500 users liking his debut Facebook status within the first six hours.
Using the post as a disclaimer to warn people about the intentionally bad English accent that appears in his latest audio book, it appears unlikely that Sedaris’s engagement on Facebook will serve as a forum for run-of-the-mill daily groans, a trickle of unwanted Spotify updates and buffed selfies.
