Cop Wallet Friendly Takes On Last Year’s It Sweatshirts From Stolen Girlfriends Club

Stolen Girlfriends Club look East this season, doling out its typical measure of irreverence with an Oriental themed autumn/winter collection called Nasty Goreng. As per usual, it’s a wearable affair from the Auckland-based streetwear provocateurs highlighted by the label’s signature flower bomb and death moth prints, set amidst a sea of aqua-mint and black, and rendered in silk satins, denim, quilted micro-fibres, leopard mesh, and for the first time ever, neoprene.

Of particular interest is the label’s wink-wink take/take-off/take that of last year’s ubiquitous fashion pack it sweaters, Kenzo’s tiger print sweatshirt seen on more originality-deficient fashion bloggers than you could swing a DSLR at and Givenchy’s rottweiler print sweatshirt rendered in painterly splattered brushstrokes, both pointedly emblazoned with the word “Stolen”. And you wont need a mortgage to cop them.

Nasty Goreng will be available in stores and online July and August 2013.
