Clive Palmer’s Bizarre Election Night Interview: “I’ve Got More Money Than You”

Last night something incredible happened. Clive Palmer literally scored inspiration from Kendrick Lamar, fulfilling his lyric, “All my life I want money and power,” after both a) being a mad millionaire and b) winning his seat of Fairfax, securing himself a powerful place in the House of Representatives.

Australia. What have you done? Was it our frequent news coverage of Palmer that made Pedestrian readers from Fairfax have a chuckle on election day and put a nice “1” next to Palmer’s name yesterday? Is that what happened?
Anyway, we can appreciate that at least Clive Palmer will provide necessary comedic relief for the next three years. Below is his interview with channel 7 from last night, in which he says that he has “more money than you could ever dream of”, casually drops a Martin Luther King quote about judging people by the content of their character, TALKS ABOUT HIS 160 DINOSAURS IN COOLUM AND HIS BRONTOSAURUS BURGERS- Chris Bath gives priceless looks that scream, what kind of fucked up life are we living, Bob Katter claims that he creates money, Palmer claims he’ll take the AEC to court because preferencing was “bullshit” and exits by saying “bye, bye.”
