Camilla Flagship Suffers Great Kaftan Robbery Of 2012

Camilla Franks’ Bondi flagship store has been robbed in what conspiracy theorists believe could be an ignominious act of “industrial sabotage”, the Herald Sun reports. Two thieves ransacked the store at 12:15am on Tuesday morning and cost the popular Sydney label thousands of dollars worth of lost merchandise, shopfront damage and immeasurable emotional turmoil.

“To have the latest collection wiped out is heartbreaking,” Franks said in a statement. “This was by far the worst robbery we’ve ever faced, but we’ll dust ourselves off and pick ourselves up as we always do.”

“Industrial sabotage” is suspected as thieves exclusively targeted the label’s newly launched SS2012-13 collection, “Gypset”, which had only been available to purchase for two weeks.

Police are now looking for a black four wheel drive seen at the scene of the crime and/or anyone seen with a suspicious surplus of hallucinogenic kaftans. If you see either you can alert Bondi Beach Police on (02) 9365 9699.
